Representations are a re-presentation of the ideology of the produer.
They often use stereotypes to present a representation 

Media language is the way the meaning of a media text is conveyed to the audience

The font of the headline is in a serif font which is used more in broadsheet newspapers. the may have used this more decrotive font for this headline as it is to do with the royal death of Prince Philip

The front page is full of hte most heared news of Prince phillips death, and it also shows a photo of Willlam and Kate whos 10th anniversary it is. - Lots of Royalty

'Free inside, Two royal magazines' this might act as an hermenutic code for audieces who like to follow the Royal news etc...

The other main story on the front is Helen McCory's death. This comes with a photo of her and her husband. 

Layout and design is simple and not cluttered however they make full use of the page

Eye catching purple block colour, yellow bold text "£10,000 golden cheque inside this paper" targets the younger perhaps lower class audience. This is stereotypical for a tabloid newspaper

Introduction

Representations are the ways in which media products re-present a certain group of people, an event, or an issue. Representaions are encoded through codes and conventions and reveal the ideology of the producer. Here the Daily Mirror use media language to create meaning and to convay it to the audience, they do this through stereotypical representations. The Daily Mirror is a tabloid newspaper founded in 1903 and is owned by Reach plc.
