Representations is a re-presentation and reflects the ideology of the producer

Positioning refers to how the target audience is placed by the producer

Direct address - she is looking behind her shoulder in a serious and confrontational mode of address 

This advert is targeted young black women as the target audience can identify her

The lexis of the words 'you' and 'your' are directly addressing the audience in a quite forced way for example 'find where you belong'

The sans serif bold font is all in capitals 

The alliteration in the Title 'ME ME ME MILLENNIALS' stands out in a bold red font

The layout and design is simple and gets straight to the point, The writting and image is placed down the centre line of the print advert. 

The grey coloured paper background creates connotations of old fashioned posters they used during the war.

Composition: model appears to be looking down on the audience, with the symbolic connotations of 'looking down' on the audience of superiority. 

Red text, sans serif, targeting an informal audience

Connotations of black text is symbolic of seriousness and gravity of situation, forming a binary opposition

Intertextuality: makes intertextual reference to WW1 'your country needs you' extreamly well recognised peice of properganda. A far more gentle mode of address than the original poster

The Mise-en-scene of serious facial expression connotes seriousness of situation

Drawing attention to commonly held stereotypes about young people in order to provoke the target audience
