Key Word Definitions:

Synergy: The interaction between two or more organisations working together which creates a greater effort than the sum of their individual efforts.

Social Marketing: This refers to techniques that target social networks and applications to spread brand awareness or promote particular products.  

Traditional Marketing: These are still used today, for instance, Bill boards, Trailers, and posters.

Viral Marketing: A direct marketing technique where company's persuade internet users to forward its publicity materials.  Viral Marketing Campaigns are used for this publicity.

Press Marketing: This is allowing press access to your set or pre-release images of characters etc. which will encourage them to make a main feature of your film or even a cover.

PR Stunts: A publicity stunt is a planned event designed to attract the public's attention to the event.

Fan Created Marketing: This is where they encourage fans to spread the word in a range of ways eg: Websites, Twitter feeds, Facebook and other social media posts, fan made merchandise and fan made posters.

Guerilla Marketing: This is an advertisement stategy in which a company uses surprise and unconventional interactions.
